2011 Game Summary
West Texas A&M University Wins 3rd Annual Lower Kanza Bowl
The West Texas A&M Buffaloes are now two for two in their Kanza Bowl appearances. WTAM combined a strong offense with a potent defense to beat the University of Central Missouri Mules 26 to 7 at Hummer Sports Park. WTAM previously had won the inaugural Kanza Bowl in 2009, beating the University of Nebraska Omaha. The score was tied 7 to 7 at the end of the first quarter, but the Buffaloes led 20 to 7 at the half. WTAM was able to add two field goals in the 2nd half, while continuing to shut down the UCM offense. WTAM was led by Khiry Robinson who was named the Buffaloes Most Outstanding Player for the game. He rushed for 163 yards, while quarterback Dustin Vaughn passed for 347 yards. Wide receiver Jamar Howard was named the Most Outstanding Player for the UCM Mules.
