What Is The Kanza Bowl?
The Lower Kanza Bowl is a new NCAA Division II Football Bowl that had its inaugural game December 5, 2009. The game pits teams from the Mid-America Intecollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) and the Lone Star Conference (LSC). The 2011 game will be played the Sunday after Thanksgiving, November 27th at 1 p.m. Representatives invited from the respective conferences have had successful football seasons, but did not make the NCAA Division II playoffs. The game is played at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka, Kansas. Hummer Sports Park is a multi-faceted sports facility, owned and operated by the Topeka Public School system.
